C.T.C ELECTRONICS LIMITED

CTC commenced operations in the Caribbean in the early 20th Century as the Curacao Trading Company. Dutch owned and operated it gradually spread it wings throughout the island chain opening its doors in Trinidad and Tobago in 1960. For the next few years the company traded in a variety of merchandise including textiles, hardware item and electronics having an association with National Panasonic (Matsushita Corporation of Japan) in 1968.The company was encouraged to set up an assembly plant in 1969 and with the building completed on its present site (Macoya Road Tunapuna) commenced operations in that year as CTC Electronics Limited. Assembly operations started with Panasonic brand then moved to Sharp in 1971.

Our Retail operations started in 2001 with the opening of the first Comfortzone Store in Port of Spain.

1977 – Assembled the first Color TV in Trinidad and Tobago
1989 – Company sold Shares to Employees
1990 – Assembled the first CD Player in Trinidad and Tobago
1994 – ISO9002 Certified
2001 – Opened the first Comfortzone retail Store in Port of Spain
2002 – Introduced the Whirlpool Brand
